The HELLDOG from Dresdner Whisky Manufaktur has once again won a gold medal. At the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) our HELLDOG received 96/100 achievable points in the Spirit - Grain Spirits - White Dog - Barley category, earning it the Spirit Gold 2024 award.
The HELLDOG +1 (matured for one year in a red wine cask) scored 89/100 points in the Spirit - Grain Spirits - Mature/Wood Aged - Barley category and thus achieved the Spirit Bronze 2024 award.
We are particularly proud that our HELLDOG has now won its second gold medal in the home country of single malt whisky after winning gold at the ISC 2023, proving that our newmake continues to meet the highest quality standards in the UK.
The International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) is one of the most prestigious and oldest competitions for wine and spirits in the world. Prizes have been awarded in various categories since 1969.
The IWSC is recognised worldwide. The products submitted are assessed by a jury of experts such as sommeliers, master distillers and winemakers in a blind tasting and according to a series of technical criteria.
Several types of awards are presented by the IWSC, from medals for specific quality levels to specialised awards for innovation and sustainability.
